Earlier this year, nearly 200 stood to donate to the Wonderland Community Center for Youth following Skyler Griswold’s moving performance, “Lucky Little Girl”.
More than $100k was raised, along with the hopes for children seeking a safe haven and a brighter future.
Future Generations Now (FGNow.org) has extended its advocacy efforts to help displaced and/or orphaned children struggling with housing insecurity in Tijuana, Mexico. In a massive first step, FGNow has begun work to build the Wonderland Community Center for Youth, a 5K square foot infrastructure complete with various programming to support local families in need.

To Do:
The Wonderland Youth Center provides free nutritious meals, including a wide variety of fresh, locally produced vegetables, milk, and eggs to food-insecure members. The program makes it possible for members of low income households to obtain fresh food that they could not otherwise afford.
Wonderland provides enriched arts and music programs for all community members. Working in coordination with LAUSD teacher volunteers, Vista Charter Schools, and the Harvard Westlake Future Generations Club, we aim to enliven spaces and promote a greater connection through education.
Members of the Wonderland Community Center will have access to basic health care and prevention screenings. We are committed to providing culturally competent, quality health care to everyone regardless of ability to pay. Services will range from primary care through to dental care.
Through open studio hours and unique workshops, the Wonderland Business Training program provides community members on-the-job training in Cosmetology and the Restaurant industry! Participants will learn techniques as taught by licensed Beautician volunteers, or receive real-world experience working in the Wonderland Pizza Kitchen - coming soon!
Community members of Wonderland are already beginning to utilize the space! Featured here is a demonstration of one of the Cosmetology classes led by licensed beauticians. Using their own supplies, beauticians volunteer and travel abroad each month to host classes and provide essential grooming for the children of Wonderland.
We've been hard at work building the new Wonderland Community Center! Here's a look at the progress so far:
